Newly developed Q-Switched Nd:YAG lasers, which distribute energy equally, are used in different applications on different skin tones. Q-Switched Nd:YAG lasers increase collagen fibers in the dermis as it decrease skin hyperpigmentation. It can also remove tattoos and permanent makeup apart from skin hyperpigmentation. Tattoo ink is broken into very small pieces after absorbing the laser light, so that they are destroyed by the cells in the body’s defense mechanism.
Sun pots, age spots, birthmarks and melasma can also be treated with Q-Switched Nd:YAG lasers. The spots gradually decrease with the sessions applied without any crusting on the skin.
Q-Switched Nd:YAG lasers are also used for skin renewal, reduction of pores, refulation of sebum secretion, treatment of acne and acne scars. The procedure applied with carbon-based cream activates the tissue regeneration process by photothermal effect.
